She contemplates a feeling, visualizes a memory or a theme, and then works on creating an abstract representation on canvas. She draws inspiration from her childhood in Norway, her travels around the world, and the ups and downs of daily life.

 

She is fascinated by color and light - and the way the two elements interplay. The changing state of the two creates some amazing outcomes.

While she uses a variety of media and processes to create her paintings, her methodology is fairly consistent. She works mainly in acrylics, often adding a finishing touch with oil pastels.

 

In all her paintings, she does not want to tell the whole story. Instead, she wants to leave something to the viewer to explore and find their own stories.
